Q: I just bought some of your art, how long would it take for my purchase to arrive?

Thank you! Everything will be shipped in a timely manner once you’ve placed the order. I use standard shipping companies (usually UPS). Packages should arrive between 3-10 business days. I am located in Albuquerque, NM so depending on where you are located, standard shipping may be on the higher end of 3-10 business days. I currently do not ship internationally. Local buyers, we can arrange a pickup, just email me.

Q: How do I take care of my new pottery? Can I microwave my hand made pottery?

My glazed pieces are fired at Cone 6 which is a stoneware firing temperature of over 2200 degrees. The fired pieces are sturdy but not indestructible. They are dishwasher safe, however hand washing is recommended to extend the life of the piece. I do not recommend the product be put into the microwave as it may become extremely hot to handle (but if you must in a pinch it can be done) Doesn’t food just taste better out of a hand made bowl?

Q: Are your ceramic pieces food safe?

Cherrymae Designs ensures that all underglaze and glaze paints are free of lead and acid. Additionally each piece painted with underglaze paint is glazed and fired which seals the product making it food safe.

Q: What type clay do you use?

I use Laguna “B-Mix” porcelain clay, its very smooth in texture and gives excellent glaze results, which really shows off my painting and color on my tableware.

Q: Can I return my purchase?

If you are unhappy with an item it can be exchanged for another item or store credit within 10 days of receiving it. Please email me to arrange a return. Commissioned artwork can not be returned.

Q: I love your work, do you take commissions?

Yes, I do. It requires that you follow the instructions on the Commisions form. Please note that I hand-throw every one of my pieces individually therefore, while I can make a similar piece, each one will be unique. As for quilted commissions, let’s talk!
